Hanuman Jayanti 2028 in Pune falls on Sunday, April 9, 2028. Sunrise is 6:22 AM GMT+5:30.
The appearance day of Hanuman — son of Vayu, perfect devotee of Rama, embodiment of strength, service and humility. Devotees recite the Hanuman Chalisa and Sundara Kanda, offer sindoor and boondi laddoos, and fast through the day.
Temples resound with continuous Chalisa chanting and Ram-katha; akharas and wrestlers honor him as patron of strength. In the South, Hanuman Jayanti is also observed on other regional dates.
Reciting the Hanuman Chalisa (ideally 11 or 108 times, or simply once with attention) is the heart of the day. Offer sindoor mixed with ghee — dear to Hanuman for Rama’s sake.
